It feels like such a long time ago now but after choosing our venue and date, the next most important factor (for me at least) was the stationery. I always see the stationery setting the tone for an event and a wedding is no different.
I contacted Natalie from Dizzy Wizzy Design and asked her if she’d be able to help me out with a unique, elegant and above all beautiful stationery suite and I was so pleased when she came back to me with a dahlia inspired suite that I fell in love with almost straight away. I envisioned the invitations being presented in a red envelope and before I knew it the colour palette was determined by the invitations; candy apple red and glaucous/silver blue. We picked up the red again in a few specific details such as Ben’s tie, my bouquet and our guest book and the blue in Phoebe’s dress, Grant’s suit and my bouquet ribbon. It sounds awfully put together but at the time I wasn’t thinking colours but more of a palette which all (thankfully) came together.
Our suite was involved as we had a lot of information to share with our guests. All up it included the main invitation, a location map, gift registry card, travel and accommodation suggestions and of course the RSVP card. Nat did an incredible job and she also created the menu’s a little closer to the wedding date for us to take over.
Initially I had thoughts of creating the stationery suite myself but decided to leave it to the experts and was so glad I did. Be sure to head over and check out Natalie’s website and check out the rest of her designs and suites.
Thank you Nat!
