Lucas and Cecily ran in similar circles for several years. While Lucas lived in Sydney and occasionally visited his family in Perth, Cecily often babysat Lucas’s nieces and nephews and they would bump into each other on occasion. It was a much joked about part of their day – the time that Lucas asked his brother for the babysitters phone number.
Eventually they started dating and Cecily saw something in Lucas, and him in her. While their first year of dating was long distance as Lucas was still living in Sydney, he soon found himself a job in Perth and everyone knew that their relationship was getting serious.
Cecily and Lucas were married on a perfect summers day at Christ Church Grammar School Chapel just two days before Christmas. I couldn’t think of a better way to finish 2012 than with them and their friends and family.
I started the morning with Lucas at his mothers home with his brother and groomsmen.
Shortly after I went to Cecily and Lucas’ home where Cecily was getting ready. Its always a good day when it starts off with a little Jimmy Choo.
Cecily’s gown was from Pallas Couture and was the wedding dress of my dreams.
Living Dolls did a fantastic job with Cecily and her bridesmaids hair and makeup.
All of the beautiful blooms were crafted by Natural Art Flowers and were the perfect pop of pink against Cecily’s bridesmaids champagne toned gowns from Zimmerman.
The reception was at one of my favourite Perth venues, Mosmans. I was thrilled to finally be able to meet the artist behind Natural Art Flowers, as Rebecca Grace put the finishing touches on the reception.
