State Reception Centre Wedding – Danika and Tim

May 2, 2013

There are a considerable amount of people that take credit for bringing Danika and Tim together. Aunts, cousins, siblings…you name it. To be honest I would easily put my own hand up if it meant I was responsible for bringing these two people together.

There is an easy silence as they look at each other across the room. A raised eyebrow from Danika and Tim knows exactly what is happening and a cheeky grin from Tim and Danika knows that there is mischief in store.

On a very stormy afternoon in April, Danika and Tim tied the knot in front of their family and friends and I was over the moon to be able to photograph their day. Even though we were at the beginning of autumn, Danika’s flowers from Natural Art by Rebecca Grace were more than spring like.

Danika’s gorgeous gown from Samantha Wynne was amazing. With a drop waist and long train, it was unique and classic at the same time.

The moment after a bride is in her gown and handed her bouquet is one of my favourite moments. Danika looked radiant and was helped along with hair and makeup by Tamzin Mulder.

Following the ceremony we had a small amount of time before the sun disappeared for portraits along Matilda Bay.

Danika’s sister and her best friend wore powder blue gowns from Carla Zampatti and were complimented by the gorgeous bouquets from Natural Art Flowers.

I was very excited to be photographing Danika and Tim’s reception at the Fraser’s State Reception Centre. The room was filled with the smell of hyacinths and candlelight.

The most amazing 4 tier cake from Edible Elegance was the perfect end to the evening.
