It is inevitable that once a certain question has been popped, the early planning stages of a wedding can be a little intimidating. Who to invite, where to hold it, what to wear, what to say…
Kellie and Steven kept their wedding true to who they are individually and as a couple and on a whim they decided to get married in front of their nearest and dearest on the anniversary of their New York engagement, 14th August. This meant that they had just 3 months to organise their nuptials and I was delighted to be able to photograph their very intimate and very relaxed wedding at The Bluewater Grill. Having had a small wedding ourselves, I am not ashamed to admit they hold a very special place in my heart.
The week leading up to the wedding was wet and stormy but on the day of the wedding the sun shone through as the clouds parted. It turned out to be perfect for their vows on the lawn of the Bluewater Grill and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Kellie’s amazing Jenny Packham gown was perfect for her and accented with a mustard cape from Alannah Hill for her winter wedding.
You may remember Olive from Kellie and Steven’s engagement. We couldn’t leave for the wedding without a few photos that included her.
As Kellie and Steven were marrying close to sunset and wanted to spend as much time as possible with their family and friends, they chose to see each other with a First Look. Such an amazing moment which we followed with portraits around Heathcote Reserve.
