I can distinctly remember the night I first met Rebecca and Steph. It was during a rather wet week in Perth that we met for a coffee in the early evening to get to know one another and talk more about their plans for their wedding. Huddled in a corner of a cafe in Leederville drinking our hot chocolates, I watched them over the table as they finished each others sentences and laughed wholeheartedly at each others jokes. I noticed how they were continually connected through either holding hands or touching shoulders and as if they couldn’t bare to disconnect at any time.
Watching Rebecca and Steph on their wedding day wasn’t much different that this first meeting or their engagement session a few months ago. As they shared private jokes and moved through the day, they marvelled at this new chapter of their lives together. I was overjoyed to be part of their day as they wed at their local parish St Jospeph’s Subiaco before we moved to the reception at Rebecca’s family owned restaurant, Acqua Viva.
