Things I’m Loving – Spring 2015 Edition

Sep 22, 2015

The start of a new season means a new Things I’m Loving instalment. Its hard for me to pick a favourite season as they each have their own qualities I adore but I do love spring for its mild days and cool nights and the fresh new growth in the world.
Its cool enough to layer scarves and cardigans and curl up with a throw blanket in the evening but the days no longer require a heater, my tomato plants have sprouted, we can start having our meals alfresco and the days are getting longer. Here are a few of my favourite things that are making this spring all the more lovely.
TIL-Spring
One. I love the ritual of lighting a candle at the end of the day as I wind down and my favourite one at the moment is Palm Beach and the white rose and jasmine is just perfect for warm days and cool evenings. Plus you get a cool packet of matches with each candle which I love!

Two. Spring means more time outside and this is my go-to sunscreen for my face. I am trying to get into the habit this spring of putting it on each morning whether I plan on going out or not and I’ve been using this Ultra Sheer for a couple of years now. No matter how hot it is or how much I sweat on a shoot, it always stays put and doesn’t feel greasy at all (or smell like sunscreen!)

Three. I’ve had this album from Hillsong United on repeat for most of winter and still can’t get enough. The lead song Here Now is one of my favourites along with Touch the Sky. So amazing!

Four. The best thing about spring? It is still scarf and throw blanket weather. This linen scarf is the perfect layer for a cool afternoon.

Five. The journey to find a hand cream that didn’t feel greasy, watery or wash off completely when washing my hands has been a long one but I have finally found it and this is it!

Six. This winter I spent a lot of time looking at my skincare. I wanted something economical and non-toxic and so far this cleanser from Go To Skincare is working pretty well. It removes all my makeup (except waterproof mascara which is a bummer) and is super fun in a mousse consistency and smells divine. If you’re looking for something new, give it a go.
