Trying to decide if I should shoot film or digital when travelling is just too hard a question to answer so I often shoot with both. I love the instant gratification of shooting on digital however photographing our memories on film feels a little more permanent somehow. The waiting process of sending film to be developed and waiting to see how each frame turned out is like the anticipation of Christmas morning and I love seeing the outcome.
Paris is meant to be photographed this way. The lines and depths of the buildings seem to become more picturesque and the people are timeless. As I look back on these particular images now after what we’ve been through in the past few months, these memories are even more important to me and I can’t wait until we go back again.
